🍪 Chrome Extension

Inspect, manage, and understand your browser cookies.

A clean, offline-first Chrome extension with real-time updates, security indicators, and full cookie control — right inside your browser.

Everything you need to manage cookies.

Cookie Inspector gives you a clear, real-time view of every cookie in your browser with the tools to inspect, edit, and control them.

🔍
Cookie Inspection
View every cookie grouped by domain. A live stats bar shows total count and domains at a glance. The list updates in real time as websites set or remove cookies while the popup is open.
📋
Detail Panel & Auto-Decode
Expand any cookie to see its full metadata — value, path, secure flag, HttpOnly, SameSite, expiration, and host-only status. JSON and Base64 values are decoded automatically.
✏️
Create & Edit Cookies
Create cookies manually with a full form, or paste raw JSON or Base64 to create one or many at once. Edit any existing cookie directly in the detail panel.
Manual form JSON paste Base64 paste
🔒
Security Indicators
Cookies missing HttpOnly are flagged with an amber border — they're accessible to JavaScript and a potential XSS risk. Cookies with the same name on multiple domains are flagged as duplicates.
No HttpOnly Duplicate Insecure
🗂️
Filtering & Sorting
Filter cookies by type using quick-select chips: All, Session, No HttpOnly, Insecure, or Duplicate. Sort domain groups by name, expiry, or cookie count.
📌
Domain Pinning
Pin any domain to keep it anchored at the top of the list, regardless of the active sort. Pins are saved across sessions so your most important domains are always front and center.
🗄️
Snapshots
Save up to 10 named, point-in-time copies of all your cookies. Restore any snapshot to bring your cookies back to that exact state, or delete ones you no longer need.
📤
Export & Import
Export all current cookies to a timestamped JSON file. Import a previously exported file to restore cookies across sessions or transfer them between environments.
🌙
Dark Mode
Automatically respects your system's dark or light preference. Toggle manually at any time — your choice is saved across sessions.

Your data stays on your device.

Cookie Inspector is built to be entirely offline. No data is ever collected, transmitted, or shared.

Cookie Inspector does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything stays on your device.

What Cookie Inspector does

Cookie Inspector is a Chrome browser extension that lets you view, inspect, and manage the cookies stored in your browser. It reads cookie data already present on your device and displays it within the extension popup.

Data collection

We do not collect any data. Specifically:

  • No cookie names, values, or metadata are ever sent to any server
  • No browsing history or activity is recorded
  • No analytics or tracking of any kind is used
  • No third-party services are contacted

Local storage

Cookie Inspector uses Chrome's local storage API solely to save your theme preference (light or dark mode), any cookie snapshots you choose to create, and any domains you choose to pin. This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time by removing the extension.

Permissions

The extension requests the following Chrome permissions:

  • cookies — required to read, modify, and delete cookies on your behalf
  • storage — required to save your theme preference, snapshots, and pinned domains locally
  • host permissions (<all_urls>) — required so the cookies API can operate across all domains

These permissions are used exclusively to provide the features of the extension and for no other purpose.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this URL with a revised date.
